Who we are
This policy is issued by Dexorus Ltd ("Dexorus", "we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17430636, registered office 60 Tottenham Court Road, Office 1910, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2EW. Dexorus is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
This policy covers dexorus.com and any related subdomains. It explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or any third-party tracking scripts. We do not automatically collect browsing data, device identifiers, or IP addresses through the site.
The only personal data this site handles is what you choose to give us through the contact form or direct contact details on the Contact page:
- Your name
- A description of your project or enquiry
- An indicative budget band, where provided
- Your email address or phone number, where you contact us directly
The qualifying form on the Contact page runs entirely in your browser. It does not submit data to us or to any server — it prefills a WhatsApp or email message thatyou then choose to send, using your own WhatsApp or email application. We only receive what you actually send us that way, and only once you've sent it.
How we use it
We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, discuss a potential engagement, and, if we go ahead, to deliver and administer that engagement (software development, IT consultancy, or training/tuition, depending on what you've engaged us for). Our legal basis for this is either taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing a contract with you, under Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR.
Where we contact former or prospective clients about our services, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and growing the business, under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR — balanced against your right to object at any time.
Who we share it with
If you reach us via WhatsApp, your message is transmitted and stored through WhatsApp's infrastructure (operated by Meta), subject toWhatsApp's own privacy policy. Email you send us is handled by our email provider in the ordinary course of running a mailbox. We don't sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may need to share limited engagement-related data with subcontractors, software tooling (for example project management or invoicing software), or professional advisers strictly to deliver an engagement or meet our legal and accounting obligations. Any such party is required to protect your data and only use it for the purpose we specify.
International transfers
WhatsApp/Meta may process message data outside the UK. Where that happens, it does so under Meta's own published safeguards for international transfers (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy-based mechanism). We do not ourselves transfer your data outside the UK other than through your own use of WhatsApp to contact us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and engagement-related personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry, deliver any resulting engagement, and meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations (in the UK, generally up to six years after the end of an engagement for financial records). We delete or anonymise data we no longer need for these purposes.
Cookies
This site does not currently set any cookies or use any analytics. If that changes — for example, if we add website analytics in future — we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) before setting any non-essential cookie.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; to restrict or object to our processing; to ask for your data in a portable format; and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), atico.org.uk— though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
Children
This website and our services are directed at businesses and individuals acting in a professional capacity. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our services or the law change. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
